Session Abstract

IoT Slam 2015 Virtual Internet of Things Conference - GEThis session will showcase how the Industrial Internet is leveraging the ecosystem around the Predix Platform, to build innovative solutions. In this specific example, an Industrial Internet Consortium approved Testbed for Asset Efficiency will be demonstrated. It will cover topics like interoperability between the platforms contributing to the solution. The business problem addressed is remaining useful like of an Asset such as Landing Gear of an Aircraft. Diagnostic and Prognostic use cases will be demonstrated to show how scheduled maintenance can be replaced by condition-based maintenance and how remaining useful life can be calculated. This will lead to lower downtime and lower cost of maintenance.

Shyam is Industrial Internet Architect at GE Digital. He has 24 years of industry experience with focus on IoT, Big Data and Advanced Analytics. Prior to GE, he worked in IBM, Deloitte, Oracle and Halliburton. He is a regular speaker in large conferences on IoT and related topics. He has undergrad in EE from IIT Kanpur, India and MBA and MS from Florida Atlantic University, Boca Raton, FL. He manages several user groups and Meetups in technology related areas
