The Internet of Things brings together people, process, data and machines to make networked connections more relevant and valuable than ever before. The IoT industry is expected to reach over $10 trillion by 2022, driven by the 50+ billion devices that will be connected by (year?). This growth will bring significant improvements in how businesses operate. The hype can be backed up by hard evidence of major IoT deployments across a wide range of industries, reaching into our homes, cars, offices, factories and even into our clothing and healthcare.
This session will discuss the IoT opportunity for enterprises by reviewing case study examples of how the IoT has transformed businesses across different industries such as agriculture, healthcare, waste water, fleet monitoring and more. Next, we will examine some of the typical stumbling blocks when undertaking an IoT initiative, and finally discuss how to develop the business case for an IoT initiative.
