SAS Streaming Analytics for OSI PI: Industrial Overview

Session Abstract:

Industrial environments are a complex collection of devices and sensors, very often connected and monitored by an OSIsoft PI system. OSI PI users in manufacturing and utilities recognize the value of monitoring their connected assets in real-time, and now can extend that capability to incorporate sophisticated machine learning models from SAS.

In this session, we will discuss an integration of OSI Pi, a powerful data management platform for industrial operations, with SAS Streaming Analytics Framework, an automated approach that simplifies the deployment of real-time analytics projects at scale.

Organizations typically use OSI Pi to retrieve data from their connected assets, and they define a map of their devices and sensors using OSI Pi’s Asset Framework. SAS’ Streaming Analytics Framework (SAF) deploys machine learning models directly against that OSI system map, effectively resulting in a real-time digital twin of plant or utility operations.

SAS Streaming Analytics Framework simplifies the transformation of simple sensor data into analytic-ready data, trains machine learning models, manages championing new models as behaviors change, and ultimately provides an end-to-end real-time analytics project that is ready to deploy using SAS Event Stream Processing. And all required configuration steps are designed with a citizen data scientist or technician in mind.
Join us at the session to learn how this new integration between OSI PI Asset Framework and SAS Streaming Analytics can bring real-time digital twin technology to the plant floor.
