Brenda Boehm is currently Brenda Boehm – Interim Chief Innovation Security Officer, Board Advisor and Member of IoT Community Board of Advisers a senior executive who has made her career by bringing next generation Networks, Information Systems, Cloud, and Security technologies to the emerging global marketplace. Brenda’s deep industry expertise is based upon her successful leadership roles at both the executive and board levels with various innovation-focused technology companies from entrepreneurial start-ups: Starent Networks, Tango Networks, and Cyphre to Fortune 100 leaders: Cisco, Nortel, Alcatel-Lucent and Nokia. This uniquely broad set of experiences and skills have equipped her with the insight to create a market vision that recognizes industry disruption, an ability to harness change for innovation, develop global market reach and ensure the most successful operational best practices. As her passion is with emerging technologies, she has been recently focused on the capabilities of the various opportunities that Internet of Things creates, with the support of edge computing, the required foundational security, and potential blockchain technologies.

IntelCaroline Y. Chan is vice president in the Data Center Group and general manager of the group’s 5G infrastructure division at Intel Corporation. She has overall responsibility for Intel’s global network infrastructure strategy and solution development related to 5th-generation wireless technology. Chan and her team identify and develop use cases that incorporate the Internet of Things, innovation in wireless technologies and deployment models, such as mobile edge computing and alternative spectrums that will enable new service providers and enterprise networks. Since joining Intel in 2009, Chan has worked closely with telecommunications vendors, operators and application developers to advance strategy and marketing in virtual RAN, mini Cloud-RAN and mobile edge computing technologies. Before leading the 5G infrastructure division, she spent six years as director of wireless technology and strategy. In that position, Chan oversaw server CPU extension into Intel’s wireless infrastructure business, a role that encompassed investment strategy, CPU adoption and modification, marketing, and business development. Earlier in her Intel career, she led strategy and business development for the WiMAX program office. Before joining Intel, Chan had a 15-year career at Nortel Networks Corp., culminating in her role as director of 4G wireless product management. Chan holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and the University of Massachusetts Amherst, respectively. She serves on the board of the Telecom Infrastructure Project and the xRAN organization. Her contributions in the area of virtualized wireless radio access networks earned Chan an Intel Achievement Award in 2016.

Stephen Douglas works for Spirent’s strategy organization heading the 5G practice, helping to define technical direction, new innovative solutions and market leading disruptive technologies. With over 20 years’ experience in telecommunications, Stephen has been at the cutting edge of next generation technologies and has worked across the industry with service providers, start-ups and network equipment manufacturers, helping them drive innovation and transformation. Stephen is an ardent believer in connected technology and strives to challenge, blur and break down the silos that prevent innovation and business success.

Tom Wolf has over 40 years of telecommunications experience and is currently the North American lead for NTT DATA’s global telecommunications vertical. NTT’s corporate portfolio includes NTT Docomo, a global leader in 5G technology. Tom’s current focus areas include enterprise/private 5G initiatives which enable new IoT use cases. Secure edge computing and maintaining Quality of Service across integrated 5G and traditional fiber networks are quickly emerging as complementary technologies for successful enterprise/private 5G deployments.

Wayne Irwin VP – Operations – Emerging Business at Ericsson, and is a customer centric and solution oriented Technology Executive with over 30 years of progressive global sales, operations and business management experience. He has a track record of successfully implementing organizational transformations and business growth to achieve measurable business outcomes. Through his leadership, his teams solve complex business issues with well architected solutions based on a combination of products, services, and software platforms. Throughout his career, Wayne has been involved in a number of disruptive technology markets and continues to be engaged technological impacts on how people and businesses live and operate. Prior to Ericsson, Wayne worked at Intel, where he lead a team that is focused on developing a robust ecosystem in the IoT to provide joint solutions, solving significant market problems that are scalable and sustainable. His team was instrumental in developing this ecosystem of Technology Partners in support of Intel’s key vertical business units and overall Intel business objectives. Prior to Intel, he served as Senior Vice President and GM of the Embedded and Connected Services division of Symphony Services (global technology development and services), President of the Americas division for Acision – (SMS (text messaging) platforms to telecommunications operators), President & COO of Aperian (data center management) and many different positions at GTE (now Verizon). Wayne holds an MBA – finance from Xavier University and a BSBA in Marketing from Central Michigan University.

Shay Phillips is AVP Sales Operations – Advanced Mobility & Enterprise Solutions at AT&T, and leads a team of professionals supporting a multi-billion dollar portfolio including Internet of Things (IOT) and Edge solutions by enabling best in class seller experiences and best in industry customer experiences through the use of technology, resulting in revenue acceleration and growth.
