Session Abstract:

The cost of computing may be going down but does it make sense to ingest all sensory data into the cloud? Enterprises will amass terabytes of dirty data. Encumbered by data cleansing and transformation, enterprises will struggle to derive unbiased data analytics from IoT. Moreover, the edge computing performance, memory, and battery optimization will enable to analytics on the edge, including data cleansing before sensory data is brought into the cloud. This presentation will examine what factors are driving edge computing and why it may come sooner than we think?

Moreover, how could a decentralized P2P world of IoT usher in an AI ambient virtual assistant to help coordinate and negotiate will apps and devices on the network’s edge on our behalf?
