In this session, Chris Sullivan presents a closing remarks with a view to outlining the progress the IoT Community is making across the Healthcare IoT domain with the formation of its Healthcare IoT Center of Excellence (HIoTCoE). Chris makes particular reference to the staging of the 5 pillars of excellence (PoE’s) that form the CoE.
The 5 PoE’s are:
- Healthcare provider strategies
- Underserved communities
- Big data and Analytics (A.I)
- Personal Health Management
- Venture Capital for start-ups.

Chris Sullivan is the Global Healthcare Practice Lead for Zebra Technologies and is responsible for the strategy and marketing functions for the Healthcare vertical business. Chris began his career with Cardinal Health in 1993 and spent 16 years in sales, marketing, operations, and strategy leadership positions with Cardinal Health. In 2008, Chris joined W.W. Grainger to lead the strategy formation and creation of its Healthcare business. While at W.W. Grainger, he created an industry first business model – designed around the Environment of Care regulatory standards – and distinguished by its innovation, marketplace differentiation, and commercial success.
