Session Abstract:
Today’s digital revolution has resulted in the world becoming increasingly built of infinite data. With 20B connected things globally (IHS), IoT offers valuable insights gained from data coming from several sensors and tech used day-to-day. As daily tasks across industries become more impacted by IoT, businesses are tasked with the responsibility to make their processes more efficient and secure.
In this session, Tim will discuss in-person how organizations can leverage IoT to support the analysis and collection of data for preventative and predictive maintenance, resulting in the identification of failures before they occur. New innovations have made IoT devices more attainable, efficient and cost-effective—allowing consumers to access real-time data and actionable insights on conditions to reduce the cost, time, and risk associated with impending problems. Attendees will learn how taking an IoT approach to their organization—particularly those in the automotive, industrial and manufacturing industries—opens the next step for better performance, monitoring, and maintenance, to protect the future of their business.

Tim has a strong product, development and marketing background having worked for Bosch, SharkNinja, Stanley Black and Decker, Harman (acquired by Samsung) Beats by Dr. Dre (acquired by Apple) and now Seek Thermal. Seek Thermal is behind some of the most groundbreaking thermal imaging products and core platforms for consumer, commercial and IoT applications.
Tim is a sought after futurist that speaks on technology trends in the global IoT and connected car markets. He has also spoken at top universities such as Harvard, MIT, and the Yale School of Management’s Center for Consumer Insights. Tim graduated from Eastern Illinois University and holds an MBA from DePaul University’s Charles H. Kellstadt Graduate School of Business.
