Making the world greener – Reducing carbon footprint with IoT

Session Abstract:

We are traveling in our electric vehicle (EV) to reach our workplaces/homes to attend the insightful IoT Slam Conference online. How do we want our travel experience to be? The answer is a seamless user experience in which we drive, charge our car at the charging station, and reach our destination on time. But is such a happy and worry-free EV experience always possible? Are we future-ready to support the millions of electric vehicles projected in the next few years in most countries?

Today, the transportation departments, charge point operators, and fleet charging owners depend on a secure, reliable, and scalable EV charging infrastructure to deliver a sustainable future. They need solutions that are simpler to manage, have high operational visibility, and are unaffected by non-temperature-controlled outdoor use.

Connectivity solutions that provide central management and real-time monitoring of connected EV charge points, video surveillance, vehicle, and pedestrian safety monitoring, and secure remote issue resolution, can meet the current demands and facilitate the way forward.

Electric vehicles powered by clean energy are pivotal in lowering greenhouse gas emissions. IoT makes this possible by connecting and managing the EV Charging infrastructure and providing essential connectivity for assets at a mass scale. Let’s embark on the journey to evolve from today’s isolated deployments to secure, connected electric charging deployments to support the transportation needs of today and the future.

Join this session in Members Slam’23 to understand today’s connectivity challenges and the solutions to reduce operational complexity, achieve higher system availability, and better user outcomes with IoT and clean transportation.
