Session Abstract:
How can we impact worker safety in a meaningful way using IoT? SAS and SoftServe have combined their expertise to address this challenge facing many different industries where the very essence of the work is dangerous. Leveraging IoT, AI/ML and computer vision, we can detect and notify supervisors when the worker’s behavior may endanger themselves or others. Our presentation shall illustrate the problem and solutions along with a vision for expanding capabilities to enable predictions along with improved detection of risky behavior in an industrial setting..

Evan Guarniaccia began his career as a particle physicist, transitioning into the world of streaming analytics and the Internet of Things as a product specialist and Solutions Architect. He brings deep technical knowledge along with excellent communication skills to develop and deliver connected and integrated solutions to a wide variety of industries.
