Bill Roberts: As the director of the global IoT practice at SAS, Bill is an evangelist for analytics and the IoT – promoting the importance of a robust analytics lifecycle to drive valuable outcomes in IoT initiatives across industries. Bill and his team play an important role in growing SAS relevance and revenue related to IoT. His team works closely with product management and R&D to ensure technology and solutions meet key market needs, while directly supporting marketing and the field sales organization with domain expertise, enablement, and thought leadership activities. Bill joined SAS in 1996 and has held the Global Client Executive position for DaimlerChrysler, helped establish and lead the SAS Automotive Practice, and contributed to the development and success of SAS Supply Chain solutions across Demand, Quality, and Aftermarket Service. Most recently he lead a global manufacturing practice. Prior to joining SAS, Bill worked with public sector entities, supporting key technology capabilities around finance, HR, public works, and public safety. He holds
a bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University and lives in Cary, NC.
Wayne Irwin is a customer centric and solution oriented Technology Executive with over 30 years of progressive global sales, operations and business management experience. He has a track record of successfully implementing organizational transformations and business growth to achieve measurable business outcomes. Through his leadership, his teams solve complex business issues with well architected solutions based on a combination of products, services, and software platforms. Throughout his career, Wayne has been involved in a number of disruptive technology markets and continues to be engaged technological impacts on how people and businesses live and operate. At Intel, Wayne leads a team that is focused on developing a robust ecosystem in the IoT to provide joint solutions, solving significant market problems that are scalable and sustainable. His team is instrumental in developing this ecosystem of Technology Partners in support of Intel’s key vertical business units and overall Intel business objectives. Prior to Intel, he served as Senior Vice President and GM of the Embedded and Connected Services division of Symphony Services (global technology development and services), President of the Americas division for Acision – (SMS (text messaging) platforms to telecommunications operators), President & COO of Aperian (data center management) and many different positions at GTE (now Verizon).
Wayne holds an MBA – finance from Xavier University and a BSBA in Marketing from Central Michigan University.
