The ubiquitous scope and complexity of IoT will favor organizations that can quickly adapt new tools, and organizational and business models. We are now past a tipping point in the IoT, and it is certain that we are in for a large-scale change as connected ecosystems have become the new norm. Over the past 4 years, the TM Forum’s IoE Program has leveraged a collaborative approach to addressing the IoT Roadmap of Challenges. These new business, technology, and market challenges have been meet with pragmatic answers – from new business modeling techniques to best practices of digital transformation to new interoperability solutions and applied innovation with revolutionary technologies such as Blockchain. This session will provide an overview of the collaborative work, incubators, and proof of concept “Catalyst” projects that have focused on Monetization, Management, and Trust (MM&T) as the key capabilities that enable IoT success.
MM&T becomes key when addressing the challenge of scaling solutions, whether managing enterprise IoT or Consumer applications. Managing risk and reward across ecosystems is complex. This session will identify new tools for managing IoT ecosystems and partners. The session will provide case studies and examples of how 21 IoT collaborative catalyst projects over 13 vertical industries has resulted in new B2B2X guidebooks, API strategies, and new IoT platform approaches..

Craig Bachmann has provided executive management and professional services to enable Digital Services, working with Enterprises (from start-ups to Global 100’s) as a Chief Technology Officer, Chief Operations Officer, and Consultant for over 30 years. Mr. Bachmann has led the development of innovative Operational and Business information systems, GIS, Location intelligence, digital media, and patented network infrastructure works including a data transformation and middleware product. Mr. Bachmann leads the TM Forum IoE and Open Digital Program that collaboratively develops Enabling Technology, Architectures, Security, Privacy and Ecosystem Best Practices, open API’s, and toolkits for Industry Digital Ecosystem and Application Areas such as the Internet of Things, Smart City, Smart Energy, and Digital Health.
