Session Abstract:
Developing IoT devices requires a substantial investment across a wide set of technology disciplines. Adding AI requires yet more disciplines. We’ll discuss how to get started adding AI to your IoT projects. We dive into AIoT use case considerations, generation and prioritization. We’ll look at the data needed to drive AIoT, and the team you’ll need. Finally, we’ll consider a number of potential problems you need to keep in mind.

Dr. Scott Gerard is a Certified Senior Data Scientist with experience in AI/ML, AIoT, knowledge graphs, NLP, and deep learning. At IBM, he was a senior leader in IoT, Eldercare Research, Watson for Financial Services, and Talent Acquisition. He applied AIoT principles to convert low-level sensor readings to high-level patterns of human behavior. He now independently consults with clients who need AI/ML leadership.
