Session Abstract:
The internet of medical things can breathe life into digital twins for healthcare. In this keynote, we’ll discuss what healthcare can learn from other industries that successfully create and use digital twins to improve efficiency, achieve quality outcomes, and mitigate possible adverse events. Using a framework of safety, quality and personalization, we’ll examine some use cases for healthcare digital twins and discuss how the infusion of digital twin technologies might actually free humans to care for humans in more meaningful and creative ways.

Lisa Gulker is a clinical informatics leader and clinician with more than 25 years of healthcare and IT experience. She is a critical care nurse and has held numerous health system roles as a nurse executive. Lisa currently serves as vice president, product management and strategy, for Health System Operations at Oracle Health. This portfolio focuses on clinical operations for healthcare, enabling the removal of any operational barriers that get in the way of patients and care teams being together.
