IoT Slam Live 2017 Session Abstract:
Exploring the correlation between the evolved, well-adapted structures found in nature and applying them to emerging technologies strengthens the discipline. After observing nature and its natural ability to sustain life through photosynthesis, humans have learned how to borrow and apply this natural phenomenon to innovative technologies found today. One of the main concepts adopted from nature is the the ability to harness solar energy enabling the latest machinery and gadgets to function without electricity. We have already entered the machine age and robotics is one of the fastest emerging industries, however what is equally important is how robotics and industrial design can seamlessly create products that interact in a more effective way with humans. Only today is industrial design seriously looking at robotics and changing the landscape of how we perceive machines.
