Real-Time Analytics – Building a Solid Foundational Approach to Support Anomaly Detection, Predictive Maintenance, Optimization, and More

Session Abstract:

SASDeploying real-time analytics projects involves a unique set of challenges, each of which needs to be addressed properly in order to build a solid foundation upon which to grow. Using a project deployed using SAS and ClearBlade, I’ll discuss each challenge and related solution, as well as detail a variety of use cases in different subject areas which can be supported using this approach.

Speaker:

Steven Enck, Doctorate in Biostatistics, has supported large-scale analytical consulting projects for over 20 years in various industries. As the speed of analytics accelerated and scheduled batch jobs were replaced by always-on continuous monitoring, he focused his attention on how to simplify the deployment of real-time analytics projects. He led the development and implementation of SAS® AutoML for IoT, a field-developed solution which has been used to dramatically accelerate the delivery of analytics projects for a variety of real-time use cases. Initially used to deliver pilot SmartCampus projects at SAS’ headquarters, the approach has now been extended to support applications focused on improving HVAC efficiency, optimizing manufacturing plant operations, improving flood prediction, ensuring peak solar farm output, and enabling continuous review of patient electronic health data.
