At the IoT Slam Live 2019 event, the IoT Community was excited to host yet another exclusive Healthcare IoT Center of Excellence panel discussion featuring thought leaders across the space.

Speakers:

Chris Sullivan is the Global Healthcare Practice Lead for Zebra Technologies. With an acute understanding of the needs of patients and their caregivers coupled with robust technical knowledge of healthcare operations, Chris balances the personal and professional needs of the industry to create an inspirational point of view on healthcare technology. He is an advocate for the role technology plays in improving the quality, safety, and efficiency of patient care, and for the value of learning from best practices from around the world to improve healthcare globally.

Richard Montmeny is the Chief Operating Officer and Site Administrator for St. John’s Pleasant Valley Hospital in Camarillo, member of the Dignity Health Central Coast Service Area. Rich came to St John’s from Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Dover New Hampshire. He has over 30 years’ experience in health care across several environments. His career includes private practice physical therapy owner, consulting business entrepreneur, educator and clinician in an academic medical center, and hospital operations in a community hospital. He has also lead payment innovation and care redesign efforts essential to improving population health. He currently serves as chair of the Provider Advisory Council for Gold Coast Medi Cal Health Plan and as an advisory board member Zebra Technologies Healthcare Division. Rich has a doctorate in kinesiology from the University of Connecticut. He has also completed a post-graduate program in General Management at Harvard Business School. Rich enjoys spending time with his wife of 36 years and two grown children playing golf and snowboarding.

John Gresham joined Cerner in 1999 and over his 20-year career has held various technology, consulting, business development and executive management positions.  His focus is to drive emerging growth markets, with a focus on health networks and real-time health system. Key Cerner business markets include enterprise security, virtual health, data transaction services, care-team communications, & health system operations. Additionally, John plays an active role in new and emerging strategic partnerships that deal with complex platform economics & emerging business models Health Networks’ goal is to assist health systems to increase their operational efficiency for their acute venues of care while better managing transitions of care across their clinically integrated network as they shift to value-based care.   John is a thought leader on topics including data interoperability, real-time data insights and emerging communication capabilities to drive improved clinical outcomes and provider experiences. John helped create and grow Cerner’s device connectivity and communications platform called CareAware, which serves as the Internet of things platform for Cerner.  John previously led Cerner’s interoperability and device Integration business and has led strategic partnership alignments with leading healthcare IT companies including Nuance, Apple, Imprivata, EMC.   This has evolved more recently into the creation of Cerner’s Open Developer Ecosystem (code) and Cerner’s CareAware validation program representing over 100 new validated third-party relationships.

Denise Hatzidakis has a background which combines an entrepreneurial instinct, in-depth technical skill, enterprise experience (IBM, Deutsche Bank, Premier Healthcare) and a strong reputation for developing, leading and motivating cross-functional teams at all levels. With 20+ years in technology as a developer, architect, and leader, I am a proven senior technology leader recognized for establishing the technical vision and leading cross-functional teams. I have a solid record of delivering complex, high risk, innovative projects. An accomplished IT Executive and decisive leader of strategic technical initiatives, uniquely qualified to interface with business and technology; developing technology roadmaps and leading implementations to ensure IT investments provide the appropriate business value.

Phillip Simulis is the founder and CEO of Simtelligent, which provides technology solutions, management and training for clients ranging from non-profits to large corporations. Phillip has more than 13 years of experience designing innovative solutions in health insurance, medical, research and development, federal, financial and commissary industries. He is known as an early adopter who integrates new technology solutions into existing environments and trains teams on how to best use the new technology in their environment. Phillip’s track record of managing projects while thoroughly understanding the underlying technology has provided opportunities where companies are cutting back resources yet need to deliver solid, scalable solutions in a timely manner. His ability to think outside the box has solved technical challenges when his clients have had no viable options. Phillip currently volunteers with the PMIWDC New Member Welcome Committee and Project Management Day of Service (PMDoS) 2016.
