Through real-world examples, this session will highlight the hazards of “model-lock” and how to break out of it with the “Proactive Serendipity” process, a straightforward approach of redefining core system/data elements, obtaining fresh perspectives, rapid prototyping, and agile evolution based on real-world feedback. These practical strategies can lead to surprising new revenue streams and business models in the IoT space.

Scott Pitts is a veteran entrepreneur and executive with a strong track record in technology and finance, including successfully scaling and exiting several SaaS startups. He was also an investor and mentor in the Wearable World IoT accelerator, where he was directly involved in multiple IoT scale-ups.
